New COVID restrictions for construction industry from 19 July 2021

The NSW Government has today announced further COVID restrictions which will affect Registered Certifiers in Greater Sydney.

Construction pause until midnight 30 July 2021

From 12.01am on Monday, 19 July 2021, all construction work in Greater Sydney, including the Blue Mountains, Wollongong, Shellharbour and the Central Coast, will be paused until midnight 30 July 2021.

This includes non-urgent maintenance, including cleaning services, and repair work on residential premises.

Restrictions in regional NSW remain unchanged.

Additional restrictions for people in Fairfield, Canterbury-Bankstown and Liverpool LGAs

From midnight tonight, if you live in the Fairfield, Canterbury-Bankstown or Liverpool LGAs you cannot leave your respective LGA for work unless you are a health or emergency service worker. This will apply until midnight 30 July 2021.
